I found a 60 that was in the oct 98 flood, got it all freed up & cranked yesterday, I boiled out the carb because it was all rusted plus, I think my float is hanging, because, before I crank it I had the fuel on, the gas came leaking from the choke handle, I pulled the plugs and the cylinders were full of fuel, there is a small clip that was on the float needle, and I dont know if I put it on the right way, dose it need this clip? and is there a certain way it has to go on?

The clip holds the needle on the float. Put the loop around the groove on the needle and use the clip to hold it in position on the float. If you have a needle with a rubber tip be sure the tip is in good shape. If it is all steel, put the needle in the jet and tap it with a hammer and punch to form the seat to the needle, do this with a new needle and seat too. Also be sure that the float doesn't have a hole in it.
