I have a 430 with a 5 speed trans. and live pto. (two position clutch) The clutch started growling awhile back when I would fully push in the clutch pedal but I could easily shift gears, and it was quiet, if I only depressed it half the way. Now the clutch has no resistance when pushed in, the transmission can be shifted between gears, but there is no power applied to the final drive. I opened the inspection port and the linkage to the clutch is intact. What's wrong?? Will I need to split the tractor to fix it???

You'll have to split the tractor to replace the clutch. That growl very well could be the throwout bearing.

sounds like you need a new clutch...and maybe throwout bearing....be sure to properly adjust the two plates...
