I have a 70RC gas, that seems to have a governor problem.. It is very noisy... It could be the fan shaft too.. Not sure if it a bearing noise or the gears to the fan shaft.. Not a screeching sound.. more like bad spots on a bearing or a gear.. The Governor also seems to have a hard time keeping the engine running a constant RPM in the mid range and seems a little slow at reacting to loads.. I have not pulled the cover off to peek inside.. I'm sure that will be this week sometime.. I also have not adjusted much on the linkage between the governor and the carb.. The tractor sat for a few years before I had the tractor.. so it is possible for it to have rust spots on the bearing or gears.. I also have a 720LP that is a parts tractor.. any way this 720 governor will fit on the 70... how about the internal parts??? Thanks for any help..

Hey Nut,
I looked in my parts books and the governor housings are not the same on the 70 gas and 720 gas or LP. I don't think they will interchange.
