I'm almost finished with the restoration of a 1937 B but there are a few items missing. Does anyone know of a source for repro gas caps? In particular, I'm looking for one of the red ones with the words "Gasoline Only" for the small starting gas tank. Would also like to get one of the plain if they are available as the one that I have on the main fuel tank is pretty ratty and the gasket is nearly gone. Any suggestions on how to repair it? Thanks.

Becareful when buying repo gas caps,Because we bought some that don't vent right.I took a D to the show the other day ,it ran fine when we loaded up,arrived at the show it didn't want to start.Went to start for the parade it was flooded, got it going by pulling, then it was running bad and acted like was running out of gas so I took off the cap to look and it nearly blew the cap out of my hand,so I left it off and it started running right .

Do you remember where you bought the bogus, improperly vented gas caps?

John, Dennis Polk Equipment here in Indiana or Greg Stephens in Colorado have them. However, I understood on the unstyled, both caps to be correct, must be the smooth top that dont have the raised lettering about keep fuel clean or gasoline etc just gas red and fuel green????? ?
