Have any of you tried the 134 freon their putting

be charged about twice a year.I've got left over
freon 12 I've been adding,I was just wondering
how hard it was to change over.

Steve, we rarely use any thing else. It is not difficult to use. We convert the charge fittings to 134 and add a 1/2 pint of ester oil to the compressor; then we vacuum at -19, -21 for 25 minutes to boil off water and check for leaks. System must hold vac for 10 minutes with vacuum pump off. Then we simply recharge with the appropriate weight of 134. Tested systems generally work as good or better as previous R12 setups
