I have an early 3020 gas with an oil bath aircleaner. Seems like after every few hours of use, I open the side screen there's oil all over undernieth the air cleaner. Seems to be running down from the oil trap. I have the oil level where it should be in the cup. What could I do to fix the problem, does it just need a good cleaning. And is it true that an oil bath system is better than a dry paper element system. Would apprieciate any replys. THANKS

Does the tractor happen to be popping back threw the carburetor. There has to be a problem to cause the oil to leak out.

If oil bath was better we would still be seeing them installed on new tractors.

Do yourself a big favor and convert your tractor to dry filter. I got one for my 4010 at a junk yard for not much $.
