I'm looking for a little advice on what might be the problem with a 2030. The tractor loses all of its hydraulics(and PTO) completely after a few hours of using it. Also, the hyd. oil seems to be running hotter than it should be. Should I just plan on this being a bad hyd. pump or should I split the tractor and start looking deeper.

Check the steering valve at the lower end for excessive heat. Sounds like the o-rings for the steering valves are leaking , is the steering eratic when hot? These used to leak on the 2020 tractors and you would loose hyd's after a short period . Don

I read somewhere that the oil temp should be about 100 degrees hotter than ambient temp.if its hotter than that you probably have a leak in one of the hyd. valves.you should start it up andlet it run about 1/3 throttle and put your hand on the various valves etc. for instance if the remote hyd valaes get hot then they are leaking, same with the steering pump.larger 30 series tractors have a steering control block, above the engine or next to the firewall,if your 2030 has one check it for heat also
