I have trouble with the dual touch-o-matic hydraulic system. When I bought the tractor, the hydraulics were only half there. I think I have all the parts how but I put it together and only the inside arms lifts and drops immediately after stopping engine. I'm looking for some-one to work on it or I would consider a whole different system. I'm ready to use it as a Forth of July fire-works display. My local JD Dearler is not interested in fixing it. Located in Central Wi.

I just finished overhauling the dual hydraulics on my 420 W. It was having basically the same problem, the outer lift arms would work (barely) but the inner wouldn't move. Turns out a roll pin came loose inside which disconnected a linkage that rendered it useless. The rollpin was chewed up by the pump and caused all kinds of scoring in the cylinder walls. However, it was not to tough to fix and works better now than it ever did during the 20 years I have owned it. The system leaking off could be caused by any one or combination of several things.
