As per May Green Magazine quote of the Deere service bulletin for beefing up the weak stock gears in a slant 420,430,435 & pre serial # 31,000 1010. The bigger post serial# 31,000 1010 carrier #T18196T & R&P set #AT16748T is supposed to be a heavy duty service upgrade in the earlier tractors. I tried to fit the parts in, the carrier is the correct width but the ring gear hits the top & bottom of the 435 transmission case. The post serial # 1010 donor tractor had a deeper transmission casting and a relief slot in the trans case top with a external dust cover. Unless I have the wrong parts the bulletion exerp did't mention cutting the earlier 435 tractor transmission case. Anybody else tried this?
