On a 620, the load screw is the little brass screw that sets inside the bottom bowl nut. screw the needle in to reduce fuel

Not sure on your model but the DLTX carbs I have seen have two adjustments. One is idle and the other load. It sounds as if your load setting is too rich. Find the needle valves (not the idle screw) and then, if they are not marked idle or load you can just try turning one or the other a LITTLE until you get a clean exhaust. You probably will want to turn them CW to lean the mixture. There are lots of guys on here who probably know this carb well, Remember what you did to each one so you can go back if it does not help. A governed engine will smoke when it first picks up a load but should not have black smoke once it settles down to a steady load.
