Can anyone give me their thoughts on which tractor is better. I'm looking at a 2020 gas and a 1520 D and am going to mount a loader on it. The 1520 is going for about $800 more then the 2020. The 1520 was painted a few years ago. For the most part the 1520 might be in better shape as far as paint goes. The 1520 might need new tires in a year or so. I have only seen the 2020 in passing. I'm waiting for some pictures of the 2020. Which has better hydraulics? Which is easier to work on. Thank you for your thoughts.

As my local John Deere dealers service manger said "All John Deere gas tractor should be sent to the junk yards and his job would be easier(I'm sure he don't mean 2cyl tractors)".With his advice I'd buy the diesel tractor you woun't be sorry.

the 2020 is built from 1965 to 1971...54 hp the 1520 is built from 1968 to 1973... 47 hp the hydraulics will be about the same as far as pumps go they weigh about the same...we have a 2020 has been a good tractor..did not have power steering but added it and made it a different tractor...hard to say which is the best one is 4cyl and the other is 3 cyl.....have nice day
