On a 60 JD when I drained the crankcase for an oil change, the oil was thin as water. Seems that it was diluted with gasoline. What could be causing this problem? It runs great and seems to have plenty of power.

Headed for major failure as gasoine is a poor lubricant. Change oil soon Is the carb float/valve/seat leaking when shut down if it's a early 60. Or a leak in the low oil presure fuel shut off diaphram at the sediment bowl in a later tractor. Does this tractor run at a temperature of 180 F or more for extended times?
