This tractor has a 3 point hitch kit on it-- Is there any way to control the drop rate of impliments when lowered at full drop. It is a slam down situation now-- Not a good situation for easy control in a tight work inviorment, especialy since it does not have live hydraulics. Mr.B

My recollections of using a Powr-Trol are that the rate of drop or raise could be controlled by moving the lever slightly up or down from the center position as opposed to moving it all the way. That may not be the solution in your case, but it might help. A May 1947 sales brochure does mention that, "speed of drop for light or heavy equipment is controlled by a drop-regulating valve".

Can't help much more than that - hope you find the valve they talk about.

Bliss, there is a valve on the "power-trol" box that can be adjusted for drop rate. The valve is usually adjusted for full fast rate when the hydraulics are used for an external cyl. I will E-mail you a picture when I get home tonight.
