Am the proud owner of my first JD Tractor. It is a very clean 1951 MT. If I understand correctly, it appears that the 1st S/N for 1952 is 35845 and this is the last year of production. Is there a way to look up the last number produced? Also, I had someone mention an organization called the Two Cylinder Club; is membership in this worth pursueing? Their is a Newsletter Publication for Ford Ns and one for Red Power (IH). Is there a good one for JD? I am sure I will be posting many requests for information in the future relative to my MT. Your help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

According to Don MacMillan's "John Deere Tractors and Equipment, the last MT was serial number 40472, built on 9/4/52.

Can't speak about the Two Cylinder Club, but I think Green Magazine is a good publication. I used to get Red Power, and, no disrespect intended, I think Green Magazine is a more thorough, more professionally done magazine. They can be reached at [email protected]

From the book I have, the first MT in 1952 is 32813 and the last is 40472 September 4, 1952. Green mag. web site is www.greenmagazineonline.com and Two-cylinder mag is www.two-cylinder.com. Both are good magazines and full of information. Green has more of a variety of articles.
