I purchased a 39 and 41 H about a month ago, some parts were already removed, sandblasted and primed in boxes. The fellow was going to do the 39 and the 41 was a parts tractor. Too many projects and health problems changed his mind.I remembered seeing 3 carbs and I was sure one was not for an H. Looking in my parts yesterday I found the carb to be a DLTX 24,it has DLT 7 on the bowl and a "big nut" in the center of the bowl also. The man I bought the Hs from had a low G a few years back.I guess he had it left and threw it in with the H parts cause he had no use for it.My info says this is a carb for an US G. Is it a big nut G carb? It looks to be rebuilt, choke and throttle work good as does the adjustment screws. It has new fittings and has been cleand, sandblasted and primered. What's it worth? All info is appreciated.

Thanks guy's. I know now it's not a "big nut" G carb, but it ain't a run of the mill one either. I took the bowl off and every thing inside looks great(float, brass plugs etc.). It looks ready to go, but if it's not it would be an easy rebuild. It's for sale or trade. If I keep it I'd have to buy a G to go with it. Thanks, HMan (Anthony in The Heart O' Dixie)

Hman--- a DTLX-24 is for a U/S G 1000---to12999 as already stated, but there is a lot of u/s G's being restored and the restoration wouldn't be complete or correct if it doesn't have a 24 on it,what I'm saying is that this is not a run of the mill carb so trade hard with it. Gman

The DLTX 24 will fit an A Ser# 488000- 491335, and the G's ser # G1000- G12999. It might be worth a little more than $250.00 maybe

It's not a big nut that would be a #51,but still worth a good sum.A new #51 is $425 but it should be worth $200-$250
