As a new 4010 owner, does anyone have any advice of things to be careful of or maintenance that shouldn't be neglected, etc.

the 4010 has the option of being either 1000 or 540 pto speed.under the pto shaft adapter that is held on by 4 bolts there is a pin. if you take this adapter off, before you put it back,make sure the pin can be pushed in by hand. if it doesnt and you put it on anyway and bolt it tight you will loose your 540 pto

Always keep a sharp eye on the hydraulic oil for water contamination. Water(condensation) will destroy the "wet" brake pads allowing material to be deposited all over the hyd system.
