let's guess, that probably means you are getting them for a lot less than has been suggested here, right?

I bought one 9 years ago with a model 45 loader attached for $1000. What time does to these prices! What part of the country are you located in?

I am located on the far north side of Texas nearly in Oklahoma..How does the 50 handle the loader I know where there is a 45 loader may want to try and put it on one of the old 50"s

I am just a hobbyist so have never tried the loader for much serious work, although I did lift a rock off my garden with it after pulling the rock out of the ground with a log chain. Old JD literature shows many 45 loaders doing serious manure loading while mounted on model 50 tractors.
Specs say it has about 2100 lbs lifting capacity.

Here in texas anywhere between 1500 and 2500 depending on condition. Live PTO and power steering were options on these tractors. Both nice to have.Mine doesn't have either. Wish it did.

They are a nice tractor. I have one and use it to mow hay and blade my drive. I really like it, in fact I used it today. I paid 2000 for mine but that depends on where you live and prices in your area. Good luck.
