I have a 4219 John Deere engine. Does anyone know what farm tractors it will fit? I have also been told there was a bigger version and would like to know what models had that engine. Thanks lou.

this engine was used in the 2440,2520,2530 john also made a 4239 which was used in 2855-2755-2750-2555-2550-

I have a 2440. what is the opinion about the 4 cyl 219cid diesel engine in the 2440? what's your opinion about the tractor in general? Mine is straight shift transmission, 146 loader. I think it has about 6200 hours.

Some people say it was made in Germany but the tag on it says Iowa. what's the scoop?
