Rebuilt the clutch new dogs discs reinstalled but cant get it to engage when trying to ingage the whole pulley moves outward to far before snapping in Could the p[roblem be the cam endplay because I can move it in and out about 3/8 to 1/2 inch Thus far when trying to engage the clutch it moves the whole shaft to far out? If this the trouble any suggestions on repair?

Don't know for sure what your clutch problems may be. I do know the H was built with two different sized cams. A small and a large one. I bet the clutches are different depending on which cam your H has. I don't know which SNs had which cam. If anyone out there has any info I would sure like to know myself. My H SN 8546 has a small cam.
