Finally finished repairing my '56 420W and gave it a hard workout this weekend. Noticed in setting the timing, with a light at 2200 RPM, that the flywheel mark would advance/retard as I tightened the distributor mounting bolts. Does a couple of degrees make any difference? Should I get the distributor rebuilt or just run it this way? Plugs look good and motor starts fine. I just don't want to screw something up due to ignorance!
