what are the actual differences between a power block and a regular from the factory block? who made the power blocks? what advantages do they have? I have seen all the posts about how to identify them, but I don't know anything about them. Thanks!

Power Blocks were an after market item sold by the old tractor supply company. I believe they were sold as a "kit", and included aluminum pistons and rings. The original head, and manifold was retained. I think they yielded an increase of about 10% in power. I can't compare, because the tractor was that way when I got it.
On my "A", there is a 6-1 power block, which makes it a 6" bore.
Hope this helps....
