Sorry guys, I know this has been injected and answered, several times, but I am still confused.
My B shares it's Transmission fluid with it's hydrolic fluid. I took off the rear cover, the one that holds the rock shaft, the pump, and the powl'trol. There is a big, round opening in this cover that is open to the transmission. Even if the Transmission fluid is filled to the right lever, on a hill, going up, the fluid would flow from the transmission to the reserve of the hydro. pump. So my question is..and don't laugh...do I use the same fluid for both the Transmission as I do for the Hydralics. I can fill..and did fill the transmission by using the filler for the powr-trol and since you can look right into that same fill openning..and look right into the transmission..
I have read several other posting that say that this fluid is not shared, but for the life of me, I can't see how they can be seperate. Any help in this would be great, and if not to much trouble, could you explain why if they are seperate..how can it be. Maybe others have the same question I have, and if so...maybe an answer could help several others as well...Thanks guys

I hesitate to answer this but are you sure all your parts are there? The only two "big round holes" that I can picture passing through the rockshaft housing are 1, the hole where the power shaft passes through the rockshaft housing and 2, where the rockshaft cylinder bolts to the rockshaft housing. When it is assembled, does your rockshaft work? If not maybe we know why! The gear case and Hydraulic units do NOT by design share fluids!

the two do not share lubricants or fluid. The gear grease is probably 140 weight and the lift uses 30 weight or engine oil. I can remember if there is a freeze cap on the rear of the lift, that may be where you see a hole. The parts book shows and inspection plug. Your's is probably gone. You can loose lift oil if the seal goes bad at the bottom in put shaft. Hope this helps..
