Hi Guys, I just wanted to warn you guys about nutcases like "Rod Bender" who posted in response to QBERT. In the last few days my favorite message board was taken over by people like him, until the owner shut it down last night. It is not the first board to fall victims to these cybervandals. These people post nothing but hate. They post under several different names and know nothing about the topic being discussed. They are looking for anyone to fight with them. Once they find a person who will put up a defense, they attack every single post that person makes until your board is filled with hate and slander. Please don't give these people what they want!! Maybe the webmaster here will be able to pull the hateful posts quickly, so they will move on. My husband really enjoys this board and all he learns here. I would hate to see it go the way my favorite board has. Thank You For Your Time,
A JD wife

I do have a short fuse (but not nearly as short as it was 30 years ago). But I have found that when some crackpot enters into something like this discussion board, just ignore him/her. He/she will get tired and go away..... ..... ..... .

Your absolutely right!
I occasionally will post a terse "go away" to try to discourage people like that, but we all need to remember that loonys pop up and the best thing we can do is ignore them.
I usually post on the Farmall Board, and a big problem we all face is some fruitcake posting on one board trying to get us to come across to another board and start trouble.
The folks on YT are some of the nicest around and I hate to see the flame wars start.
