My 2020 diesel is acting up in reverse, when in the reverse position and you let up on the clutch 1st it wants to go foward then it starts to back up. In higher gears it seams to labor the motor. Foward position is fine, steering and loader work ok.

dan, Sound like your Forward clutch is not releasing, May be due to there being operating pressure pressure being applied to both Forward and Reversse clutches the same time, which can be checked with pressure gauges installed in each clutch test ports. Or the Forward clutch may just be fried and warped to the point that it is dragging that hard. If the tractor pulls itself around (forward) with the clutch pedal held down I would say that there defintly Forward clutch damage and tractor will have to be split. The problem still could of been caused due to inncorrect engagment preessue to the forward clutch when in reverse. If you only notice what you have discribed I would put some gauges on it to see if the forward clutch is getting oil pressure when it shouldn't be, as in reverse. If you tell me what the gauges say I can tell you where to go to next. Hope this don't confuse you. Good Luck!! Dave P.S. The Forward clutch can be serviced between a engine and clutch housing split. The reverse Brake is a transmission split.
