This is unbelievable. Some of the prices being asked for tractors. What about the rest of us who want to say we've owned one of these nice old tractors withou draining our bank accounts! Sure, some of them are rare, but are they authentic and original ?? At prices like I've been seeing(check out the photo ads) they best be perfect. Tractor collecting is becoming a rich man's sport.
Who ever though? I'm sure the guys on the assembly line never did. You may think I'm complaining, but it's true.

I know some of the prices seem outragous ,, but then you have to wonder ,,how many of these tractors are actually SOLD at these prices ? Some people see the internet as a good FREE place to place an ad to sell a tractor at an inflated price, what to they have to lose ? if they find a sucker ,good for their wallet if not they haven't lost a thing,I just saw a rather common BO tractor, not crawler on an online auction with a starting bid of 12,500 ,,, needless to say there were NO bids made beyond that !

Courtland-- But try to sell one! I sold at auction last year, a 1943 B that was petty much original, Dual fuel. it still had the shields over the manifold, I didn't even know they existed. The rear tires were original but checked and worn but were still looked ok for show. The engine was real tight and it had no rust throughs, Just some pitting from sitting in a damp barn for the last 25 years. It brought $1475 which is not near what others are asking for less tractor than that. Quite frankly I was disapointed but since I didn't watch it sell the sale was final. Mr.B
