I have a 66 2510 with a narrow front.I want to change over to a wide front.What parts do i need and what other models could i use for donor parts(front end related)?

John, The wide front axle from a 2520, 3010, 3020, 4010, 4020, is the same axle as the 2510 and will bolt right on with no modification. Just remove the narrow front assembly and the plate under the hydraulic pump and install the wide front assembly. Be sure to use the correct bolt for the steering arm to motor and not the ones that were used to hold the original narrow front on, because the lengths are close but different and damage to the steering motor seal will result if the longer ones are installed. Good used ones are hard to find the best bang for your buck are the look alikes that you can buy new for the price of a worn out original. They look alike and take original John deere replacment parts. I have bought several from A&I Distributing. I think they were made in Western Iowa. Good Luck!!
