My 630LP backfired once and then died and will not restart. Was on liquid and about 1/3 throttle preparing to move tractor and disk to field. Have good spark and gas to high pressure valve but don't seem to have gas further. How should I check to verify gas is entering cylinder? Maybe a different problem?? Suggestions please. Thank you!!

With a back fire you could have burst the outside diaphram in the regulator. If this happened you won't be able to draw any vacuum in the regulator to open the low pressure seat valve. You might give it a shot of starting fluild just to see if it will run on it.If so the trouble is in the regulator. Also sometimes the inside top of the air cleaner will get mud dobber nests in them and a backfire will knock them loose and they will fall down and stop up the air intake pipe.Just something you could check.
