A friend of mine in N Idaho is looking at a JD 520 w/power steering, front end loader with 6" bucket and heavy duty rear blade, so here"s the deal. He was wondering what would be a fair price to offer the individual for this unit.

Oh it also has the hand clutch

I told him I would ask the poeple in the know, you guys here on the YT John Deere forum.. I"m at a lose on this tractor since I usually hang out on the other color forums.. Thanks

All 520's had hand clutches. So did everything else except L/M/320/330/40/420/430 series.

Just a little concern for you:

Does your friend have enough hands and arms?

A loader, blade, and a hand clutch is not exactly a real thrill.

Yes sir we know this about the hand clutch. Which would suit him better than foot clutch as he has problems with his knees, vietnam related. He has spent most of his life on a tractor of some sort..We are country folk here. Both of us were raised on farms, even went to a 2 room country school!!

He just needs a fair starting price on value of tractor. Thanks

anywhere between 3-4 grand, I suppose, without knowing the real condition of everything.
