Recently I asked a couple of questions about hauling a 30s JD Model D, its now home. But, after driving 5 hours in wind and rain, pulled it up on solid ground, then winched it up on the trailer, saw a huge fly in the ointment. I did not have much clearance between the trailer fenders and the rear tires. 85 inches between the fenders, and had 1.5 inches clearance total. Someone widened the rear rims long ago. Both rims had 6 inch strips expertly welded on. 1.5 inches clearance is better than none however, just a little bit more excitement. The D will probably be running next weekend.

Not a good weekend in Nebraska. We drove in it Saturday. Send pictures when you get it running. :D
