A couple day ago I was gradeing my driveway with my JD 60 and I noticed that at wide open throttle the tractor shutters noticeably. I cleaned and gaped the spark plugs and cleaned the contact points on the distributer cap and rotor and the points, also checked the gap between the points seemed fine. after this the tractor did not shutter as bad but you could still feel it. Thanks 54-60

My 620 normally ran really smooth. Suddenly one day, at anything above half throttle, the whole front would vibrate a lot. The sheet metal made a lot of noise. Took me a little while to figure out that the fan support bracket had broken. Repaired it and it is again running smoothly. Guess the fans weren't balanced very well.

Check the flywheel and/or clutch driver disk to be indexed wrong this will throw them out of balance. I'd check the clutch first as that is where I found most of mine that were out.

You might have a plug wire breaking down.

Just a thought.
