I took all of the neighborhood kids ages 3 to 10 for a 45 minute hayride tonight(about 25 people including parents). I have had the 720 diesel for over a year and except for a few tractor pulls it has not done any work. It sure earned it's keep tonight on a few of the hills! There's something about seeing a little fire coming up out of the straight stack when you get her on a pull. Anyway this was exactly what the old girl needed. It has had a "wet stack" problem for some time, but after the little high gear workout tonight, it seems to be burning alot cleaner. I am still trying to figure out who is happier - the kids, me or the tractor!!!

I recently did a hayride with 2 late B's & wagons & a "deuce & a half" military truck. (about 100 kids/adults) It is a lot of fun. Many of the kids never get to be around tractors & farm stuff.

I got the same thrill when on my Dad's G Special. He was pulling a load up a long hill early one morning, running in 6th gear. Didn't slow down, but there was a little fire showing at the stack!

Great story, thanks. I had a similar experience when I pulled 2 wagons and a whole nest of kids n parents BUT I made one small mistake. I started up this one huge hill in 5th gear but half way up she didnt have enough power. I was forced to pull the clutch, hold the brakes down fairly hard, idle her down, shift to 4th and then clutch and release brakes which made the wagon riders a tad nervous. ME ALSO Next time I shifted to 4 at bottom of hill.
