10 wt non-detergent- sounds like sure death for that nice new engine! non-detergent should be outlawed & why use such thin oil? ever take 1 apart after that & look at the damage?

Looks like me this weekend on my 730 on a buddy's dyno. What is the correct way to dyno, throttle full ahead and then pull it down to what rpm? Or do you pull it down as far as it will go?

Throttle full ahead, then pull it down to 540 PTO RPM. Any less then that would be lugging. The Deeres can lug down real far, but it's not actually a good thing to do.

Sounds about right, probably gain a few more after everything is seated well. Dynoing a two cylinder just keep winding it down until the front wheels are bouncing then you know it will pull.HA HA. You must have been raised around Deeres, you have the clutch engaged while doing PTO work. I love going to shows and seeing the Deere 'Xperts" idling in gear and clutch out and eating up those facings.

It's not only because of the facings, it's more because of the clutch bearing itself - all that it is in it is wheel bearing grease, and that doesn't really go well at 1500 rpms constantly.

yeah, leaving it in gear with the clutch disengaged is asking for death at times. Especially when hooking up a plow.
