Does anyone have any experience taking out the big center bolts on each side (right and Left) on a 6030 adjustable front end to adjust the width (front wheel width). Does anyone know if they are threaded in or just a pin with threads on the end. These bolts have threads on one end and a flat head on the other end. Then a nut is put on the threaded end.I think its a 3/4" bolt its big. Just was wondering if anyone has any info. before I really start laying the heat into it. Thanks for any advice.

If you plan to keep the tractor it would be worth your time and money to buy an operators manual. Your local Deere dealer can supply you with one.

The manual would cover such adjustments.

Thanks wilamayb, I have every book on the tractor ( parts, tech, and operators), just does not show the detail of the bolt/pin. Like every bolt on this tractor so far its big, and seized in there im sure, so I will just have to put some heat and muscle into it.

I adjusted mine one time - before I realized they wouldn't move in quite as far as I needed...

Finally swapped the whole axle with Dad's...

I remember it was a royal pain - it's been several years ago - seems like we loosened all the bolts good - oiled 'em up - and then drove it for a while.
