ON BOTH OF MY SCREW JACK THREADS AT THE END THEY LOOK LIKE THEY ARE MISSING PIECES ONE IS TURNING ALL THE WAY AROUND AND NOT ALOWING IT TO GO BACK IN. BUT THE OTHER ONE WICH LOOKS THE SAME WILL GO BACK IN AND TIGHTEN UP BUT THIS ONE JUST SETS THERE AS THE BOTTOM THREADS STAYS IN ONE SPOT AND THE BOLT TURNS. HAS ANY ONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND WHAT CAN BE DONE TO FIX IT I THOUGHT OF PUTTING A PEICE OF WELD IN THERE TO HOLD IT IN PLACE BUT WAS WORRIED THAT THEY ARE SUPOSED TO TURN ( THE THREADS ON THE BOTTOM ) I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO BUY NEW BOLTS THESE ARE IN GOOD SHAPE AND I HAVE READ THAT THE NEW ONES DON'T LOOK THE SAME ANY SUGESTIONS. THANKS

Jack:

Do you mean it looks as though the jack screws have a groove on the end? There is a retaining ring (a crude c-clip) # A 483 R that you pinch onto the end of the bolt after it is in the wheel and this keeps the bolt from vibrating out and being lost in the field.

I think this might be what you meant.
