I have a 630 John Deere and am hopeing these plows are one of the 800 series or close to it for the old girl. Would like to know what model to get some new moldboards and shares. And can you get decals for implements? I know you can for tractors but not sure for implements. If you can't does any one know the front and size of the lettering so I could have them custom made and the location of the decals. Thanks for any help!

They told me to get the number off the back side of a moldboard before even looking for any parts like shares or land-slides..

Some numbers are easy to read and some take sandpaper and a good light to see..depends of how well they were stamped or how rusty they are...

Good Luck...!! Ron.

630 Gene,

Looks like a 800 series to me. I have a 812 with the add-on third bottom, looks just like yours.

Gene, to the untrained parts person plows can present quite a challenge in regard to bottom parts. In the plow parts book all you will find are frame and coulter parts. Bottom parts were always listed in a separate book. You will need to know what type of bottom you have in order to get parts for it. A good, experienced parts person will know. But they are getting hard to find that have dealt much with plows. To help you get started, count the bolts holding the shares to the bottoms. There will either be three or four. This will make a big difference in getting the right parts. A three-bolt plow bottom will have a number like "HS314NC" which means it is a High-Speed, 3-bolt, 14-inch narrow cut bottom (not necessarily because it says 14, but because there is a 4 at the end). If a four-bolt, it may say something like "HS436FC" which means it is a High-Speed, four bolt bottom with a full-cut share. The "6" on the end of the number means it is a 16" bottom. Hopefully this will help you narrow down what you have. Mike

Thanks Mike Aylward I stoped in and asked a dealer we looked at the parts book and thought it looked like an 800 series but wasn't sure. I'll just have to take parts off and match them up hopefully they will come off with out breaking, But thanks your answer as well as every one elses helped me out a lot.

The plow model really doesn't matter as to what bottoms were installed on it. You could of had any number of different configurations. Should be some numbers on the backs of the parts.

It looks like a 810 to me. If the top mast is A shaped then it is an 810A, but with the hard rubber tail wheel it's most likly an 810. You need to measuse the frame or get numbers off the bottoms to find out if it has 14 or 16 inch bottoms and get parts acordingly.

That looks like the 800 series plow, by the long landing lever. is the moldboards getting thin? they look pretty good from the picture, be sure to check your shins as well. Try K&K on the decals, they probably have them and will look really good on it.

Thanks jd 2140 One of the moldboards has a rust spot through it already and all the points are a little bent so going to replace it before we do any plowing or painting, I'm just glad to know I got the plow close to the tractor's age I was worried it was way off. Thanks for the help 630 Gene
