bought a 41 B a month or so ago. wouldn't start well (20 or so cranks of the flywheel), idled up and down, popped and cracked and sometimes backfired enough to almost knock me off my feet!

put a kit in the mag, drilled the passages and orifices in the carb, and replaced the hose from the breather to the inlet elbow.

now she starts and runs like a dream. starts in 3 cranks! took her out today to the neighbor's place and ran around the edges of his hay fields (with his permission). I was looking for a project tractor, and got it. now I just have to wait for warm weather to start tearing her apart and painting.

Special thanks to Pat B and his carb CD.
