I have all the components for the shutters on my '41 B. I also have them all put on just like what is in the parts manual. Some how, it just doesn't seem to work. Any tips? Thanks.

i'm thinking maybe the two nuts should be tacked to the lever?

ok, i know that it's the handle, washer, and nut on one end of the long control rod. on the other end is a nut, lever, then the step nut.

does the rod stay still in the control handle and turn with it? are the nut and step nut supposed to be tight together? what action takes place when you turn the knob on the dash that makes the lever move?

Just put two sets together here - check the tops and bottoms of the vanes...they may be binding abit (one of mine needed a slight adjustment to work)...they should open and close smoothly and easily...
