I have a JD 510D backhoe that the hydraulics have quit working on. The hoe moves some but slowly, the loader and sterring dont work at all. I checked the fluid and changed three cartrige filters underneath but that didnt help. Any ideas? Thanks Andy

I WILL TRY TO HELP, IF THE HYDRAULICS WORK OFF THE MAIN FRONT HYD.PUMP, THE STROKE CONTROL VALVE IS EITHER STUCK OR HAS EROSION ON THE SEAT. PUT A PRESSURE GAUGE IN THE SYSTEM AND SEE WHAT YOU HAVE FOR PRESSURE, SHOULD BE AROUND 2250-2400 PSI. THE STROKE CONTROL VALVE AND SEAT GET BAD AND PRESSURE SLOWLEY GOES AWAY. NOW IF THERE IS A SEPERATE PUMP DRIVEN BY THE PTO THEN I CAND HELP YOU. HOPE THIS DIRECTS YOU TO THE PROBLEM DON

I only know the basics of a hydrualic system. You might have a damaged relief valve somewhere? -Possibly?
