I would like to get some input on how these two tractors compare to each other. The salesman at the JD dealership said they were basically the same tractor with the 2840 being newer. Any information would be appreciated. Or your thoughts about it.

Late 30 and the 40 series has an updated & strengthened transmission. Early 30 series may cost $$$ for parts if it"s been used high hours on heavy draft loads.

3130- Canada or Europeon model: diff. lights ,rear axles, fenders. More alike then diff.
