I have been having problems with my 2555 off an on for a couple of years. It started out that the pedal would get soft and needed to be bled repeatidly. After someone told me the trick about forcing oil back through the bleeder screw all seemed well for a couple of years. Started again this winter and could not get it solved. If you took the line off of the master cylinder and held your finger under the hole, it would hardly force oil past your finger. Figured we had in internal leek in the master cylinder, replaced it and it seemed fine. I don"t use this tractor much in the winter but took it to the farm down the road yesterday. Went to shift it on the way ome and almost no clutch pedal. I am not loosing any fluid and I really hate the thought of splitting this tractor(SGB+loader) to get at the slave cylinder. Is there a way to diagnose weather or not there is a problem with the slaver cylinder?

I really doubt that the problem with the soft pedal is due to a bad slave cylinder since you're not losing fluid. The master cylinders on these tractors were not the best. I've had trouble the master cylinder on my 2750 several times. The masters are nearly the same unit although the slaves are very different.
