We always pulled a 19'2" "BW" disc with our 4010D's. Nearly all the time in 5th gear. We didn't try to plow with it, but went deep enough to do a good job of tilling the soil & removing any small weeds. Actually, on a few occasions, we did plow with it--Once over with the wings up & once with them down. This did an excellent job of getting rid of last years cornstalks in the spring, if we didn't get the fall tillage done. We farmed mostly, heavy,Iowa, "Clarion-Webster" silt loam.

14' 6" of JD model BW works my gas 4020 plenty hard, but in plowed ground I can pull it 6 mph penetrating maybe 5 or 6 inches. For the second pass, I can do 9 mph penetrating 3 inches which does a nice job of tossing little weeds up in the air to lay on top for drying. I have a couple bars of spring tooth harrow on the back which saves one pass over the field making a nice seed bed in two instead of three. But I've gone no till so the disk doesn't get exercised anymore.

Depends on your soil, what depth you want to plow, what size blades you have and the angle you have the gangs set at (if adjustable) but with duals and proper ballast, you should be fine.

You should be fine although you may get some wheel spin w/o duals. It should pull that harrow in 4th gear, maybe 5th. Our 4020 with duals and proper ballast used to pull our 15’ Taylor Way harrow in 5th gear. Good luck!
