I have mounted some pretty heavy tires alone. Thing is to keep them vertical and don"t let them tilt or they will get away from you. I put the tire against the hub with about a 5 degree tilt toward the tractor so it doesn"t fall over. Then raise or lower the jack as appropriate till the holes almost line up....want the hub holes/studs (whichever) slightly higher than the tire/wheel holes. Rotate the hub so that you are aligned with the wheel and lock the hub with the brakes. Then take a steel rod, wrecking bar or whatever you can find and put it under the tire, on the floor and put a 4x4 under it as close to to the tire as you can get so that you have leverage against the wood. Your leverage gain will be significant. Have a nut or bolt as applicable ready and with one hand steadying the wheel, prise up on the bottom of the tire till one hole lines up. Get that one started. If it won"t line up just move the rod over toward the side you want to lift and you can rotate the tire/wheel that way till it lines up. Then with the rod end on the floor with the 4x4, go to the edge of the tire and rotate it around till you can get a second hole-stud lined up, preferably across from the first and start that one. You are good to go from there. Mark
