Can anyone tell me if a model A (#A3322R) Crankshaft will directly replace the #A4390R shaft in my 53' model 60 with live PTO?

I dont have my parts book infront of me at the moment, but I dont think it will work. The "A" crank doesnt have provisions for the live PTO gear that the 60 crank has.

I looked at the parts catalog not really finding any answer to your question, but I will agree with Drew in saying that an A did not have a gear on the RH side of the crank to run a live powershaft.

I'm not certain it would work anyway. It appears that there are lots and lots of different clutch parts. Maybe you could make a 60 crank work in an A by changing lots of parts. I'm thinking you might even have to change the reduction cover.

Sooooo... I'm thinking the answer to your question is NO.

I dont think the crank you need will be hard to find. Many times you can buy a complete tractor, remove the part you want and sell the tractor for what you have in it.

Good luck!
