Has anyone replaced the factory radio with a post style mount radio in a 30or 40 series cab? I would like to replace mine but I am concerned that there may not be enough room to fit one in there. Also seems that I will have to cut out the hole bigger, mine has an opening of 3 1/4 x 1 1/4 in the center and the post mount holes look like they are 5 1/4 on center. Any sugestions or ideas, anyone have a replace ment for sale. TX

Well, I hope you can hear yours over the normal tractor noises. I have a 4230 and if I had one I couldn't hear it. Course I should be legally deaf. Especially in the 2 to 4 kHz area where female voices occur...really.

Hope it works for you .

Oh, forgot to mention, I have a chrome straight pipe rather than a muffler so my ponies can breathe better. Think that has anything to do with it? Ha! Sorry, couldn't resist the pun.

deere sells all the parts you"ll need. a 4430 could have two different styles, if there is a speaker in the rear of the bezel, you won"t be able to get anything to work the same way. you"ll have to buy the rear speakers and speaker bezels. if you already have rear speakers than its easy. plug and go

Radios are made with adjusments that fit tractors/cars. Cover plates are made the same way.

You can buy a replacement that will fit in the hole from most anywhere. We use to buy cheap ones from Kmart. Deere has a replacement that will fit right in. Brent
