I have a 3010 Diesel with the oil bath air cleaner. Did John Deere make a dry air cleaner for this tractor? Or is there a aftermarket set up for this tractor. I am thinking of overhauling the engine this winter along with replacing the injector pump and injectors and would like to replace the old air filter system with a dry air filter system. Thanks in advance for all your help and suggestions.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with an oil bath filter. How the heck do you think the tractor survived all these years?

Long about 1966, the new generation tractors switched from oil bath to dry air cleaners. Probably takes the entire assembly to make the change. But the mounts are likely the same. My pre console 4020 parts catalog doesn't show a kit for the conversion. There may have been, listed in a service bulletin about 1967.

There's NOTHING wrong with the oil bath air cleaner. Give it a thorough cleaning, and put it back to work!
