Can any of you folks help me a little. I want to learn more about Antique Farm Tractor Pulling. I haven't heard of any events in the area of Texas I live in.

My questions are:
(1)Are there any organizations of Farm Tractor Pullers? (2)Is there a standard set of rules? (3)Are there different weight and HP classes? (4)Are there any set specifications for the sleds? (5)Are there any web sites devoted to Farm Tractor Pulling? (6)Do any of you participate in Farm Tractor Pulling and willing to discuss this with me via e-mail?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Pulls in Texas...By HP classes...Last weekend in June is Stonewall Tx, 3rd weekend in Sept. is Hamilton Tx, 1st weekend in Oct. is Temple Tx. Sometime between Hamilton and Temple is the pull in Burleson, I think?
Pulls by weight classes...July 4th in Wellman Tx, 1st weekend in August, Plains Tx. 1st weekend in Oct. Brownfield Tx. And some more on various dates at Seminole, Big Spring, Spade, Littlefield, and Plainview Tx.
There are more groups forming and I personally like pulling weight classes better than HP classes, because at a HP pull, it seems the one who brings the stoutest pickup and trailer wins! But to each his own. Doug in Tx

Tim I'll talk all nite if you'd like, love the subject. Try this address,www.neb-sanhills.nat/pvtp/, or NATPA.COM, and click on RULES. It has the NATPA rules and will give all classes and Divisions, and the regulations in all. Pretty well explains all the do's and dont's.
Don't be scared out as some of the rules are not enforced at all pulls, they seem to pick and choose the ones they want for that pull, except the National Points pulls.
Don't know what part of the country you are in but we have a points pull in Sterling, Colo on Feb 19th, had 474 hooks last year and they are expecting over 500 this year, its indoors and run 2 self propeled sleds, so it goes pretty fast.
It will be DIV 1 2 3 4 & 5, all weight classes
If I can be of more help just let me know Tim
