hi--i am installing a motor from 6600
combine into a 4020. i have got the back end done
and am up front now. would a single groove damper pulley for a 4020 (part #58172) fit this crankshaft? the jd parts catalog does not give measurements of the dampeners, of 4320 and 4230.
your guidance is appreciated. thanks

The 4020 pulley will not work. The timing cover on a 6600 is deeper, and the balancer on the 4020 pulley will hit it. Take your pulley from the 6600 to a machine shop, and have the front belt groove machined off, this will give you the clearance you need for your hyd pump frame. This will also let you use your original hyd pump drive shaft.

I would think either damper would work on the crank.Have the specs for a 4020 ,but not the 6600. Got a set of vernier calipers? Pretty handy tool to have around. Harbor Freight has a decent one for not very much money. It will be acurate enough for most work you do. Get one with a dial on it if your eyes are about as good as mine now are. Then measure both parts.Think I paid about 15 bucks for one.

I have no idea. No information. But if the new engine's crankshaft was larger, I know a machine shop that could bore the 4020 damper and put in a new keyway if there is enough metal to allow that.
