I have a 1998 345 that will run and mow for about 5 minutes then it will sputter and die. It will start back up but will only run for short time when it is hot and then do the same thing over again. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 1996 GT275 that would run 1 hour then die, I pushed choke on and it would run. I changed the fuel pump and coil and still no help, dealer said to try changing the fuel pickup in the tank which I have not tried as I only hav eabout 45 minutes of grass to cut, so problem does not show up.

John I have a GT275 from the same year that done the same thing. I messed with it for two seasons doing this on and off. Then I opened the gas cap vent with a drill bit now it seems to run fine. Not sure if this is your problem but worth looking into.
