First question is, will a plow interchange between a model M and MT? If so, I could sure use a picture of how it's mounted under neath the belly of the tractor on a MT. It's mounted on the rear of the 'so called MT drawbar' but it appears 5" short on the front end. I may be missing a peice under the tractor belly.

Any pictures would be a big help.

Thanks,
B

Thanks for the info guys. What we have is a plow for a M. Was trying to put it on a MT. Will park the MT and pull one of the M's out and mount it.

Thanks again.

B

The plows look the same, but like Mike said they have some differances. The M1, M2 have a shorter depth control bar. The power depth control bracket has a bend in the arms that hang down. The lift rod is shorter then the one used on the MT1, MT2 because the "MT" is longer then the "M". A MT1, MT2 can be used on the "M" because of the longer depth control bar. The depth control bracket for the "MT" will fit on the "M" but you will have to use a shorter lift rod. I too get a good laugh when people say the "M" and "MT" are the same tractor.

I always get a good laugh when I see M and MT parts and accessories advertised as interchangeable. And I also feel sorry for the buyer who tries to hook it all up because they are different ! A look in the plow parts book or operators manual ? will clearly show different beams for those plows. One is longer and the height of where the bend is different. I don't remember which is which right now , BUT they ARE to be different.

A picture would be great. One of under the belly of the tractor, from the front - looking aft. That would be much appreciated. Please send to [email protected]

Yes, the plow should interchange between the m and mt. There is a piece under the belly of the tractor for the long pole to ride in. I made this piece for my m. The piece for the mt is slightly different though.
