Did anyone else notice that the seller was from Foreston,Mn and the buyer was from Milaca,Mn? They're about 3 miles apart. So it stayed local.

That sounds fishy to me , sometimes sellers online wont get what they want for them and have a freind or family member purchase them back .

Dave, the sad part of it all is these ARE NOT the first two off the line. The seller carfully used the work "known" in the write-up. Well, I hope one before those two shows up soon! It would serve as a lesson to anyone believing everything they read on eBay -- especially as relates to a purchase that size. (PatB)

No, but they're probably the first two "GMs" that survive in the U.S./Canada. S/N 13000 was shipped to the Deere Engineering Department, and there's no record of it ever leaving there, so the odds approach certainty it was scrapped. S/N 13001 was exported, location unknown. This information has been published, so perhaps the seller knew exactly what he was talking about.

At any rate, yes -- that would give some credence to the claim. The amount of money they brought, however, was a nice harvest for the seller! Too much for me -- I can tell you that. More later (PatB)

It's nearly always a mistake to judge a deal like this without knowing the facts. 13002 and 13003 were shipped to locations about 70 or so miles apart in eastern Montana. The seller either lucked out and found them, or tracked them down, and got them bought. We don't know what he paid for them, or how much money he's spent on them, yet half the replies have disparaged him because he got more for them than these same people thought he should have. Sounds like sour grapes to me. He didn't twist anyone's arm or put a gun to anyone's head to sell them. Evidently quite a few people thought they were pretty valuable, so I fail to see the justification for the sniping about the price they brought. I just hope they went to a buyer who will lovingly restore them. I'd much rather have those two tractors than one "G" Hi-Crop.
